Terra Luft is a speculative fiction author whose imagination conjures mostly dark tales, even when she tries not to. Her work explores women’s themes and challenging societal norms in hopes of allowing fresh perspectives to emerge. When other kids were reading books that, as adults, they look back on with love, she was reading Stephen King and her mother’s discarded romance novels. It explains a lot.
An overachiever by nature, Terra tackles every project with coffee and sarcasm and believes all rules exist to be broken. She works full time by day and spends her nights writing, juggling her family responsibilities, and all the things she can’t say ‘no’ to. This lifestyle leaves zero room for television or much sleeping. She laments the loss of watching football the most, but knows she can sleep when she’s dead – or at least that’s what she tells herself.
Terra holds a BA in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University with a minor in Communications. She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, and The League of Utah Writers where she serves as a member of the board as a chapter president and Web Chair. She has published short stories with Crimson Edge Press, Griffin Publishers, Infinite Publishing, Teapots Away Media, and The Salt City Genre Writers.
She resides in Utah with her indulgent and supportive husband and their two daughters, the ghost of their naughty dog, two replacement pups, and a cat who stole her heart.
